Alexander Technique
It is a type of bodywork which improves posture and teaches movement with awareness, so that the body may operate with minimum strain and effort. Habitual patterns of misuse negatively influence the way that the body and mind function. Injury, trauma and anxiety contribute to these conditioned patterns. Alexander Technique helps to re-educate the body, thus facilitating alignment and balance, as well as relaxed and fluid movement with maximum efficiency. It is taught on a one to one basis in comfortable clothing and can be learnt by people of any age. It is beneficial for back pain, neck and shoulder tension, breathing disorders and can improve co-ordination for sports and artistic performance.
