KU NYE Traditional Tibetan Massage Course / Level 1.1
9 am – 5 pm daily
Ku Nye is an essential aspect of Traditional Tibetan Medicine. It is a unique and ancient healing massage with therapeutic benefits.
The massage is divided into three parts:
KU – The application of oil infused with medicinal herbs. In Ku Nye it is important for the oil to fully penetrate to nourish the tissues deeply.
NYE - Massage to the muscles, joints, tendons, points, meridians and energy channels. It tonifies internal organs, releases toxins and restores balance and harmony to body and mind.
CHI - The removal of oil using therapeutic powders and herbs. This cleanses and rejuvenates the skin, and restores energy to the entire body.
Ku Nye‘s points and energy channels are different from any other Asian healing traditions. Some other unique features of Ku Nye are the use of mother of pearl, agate and river stones during the massage. These serve the purpose of either cooling or heating according to body typology.
Diploma courses for Ku Nye Traditional Tibetan Massage run for 3 years and are divided into 3 Levels. Each level begins with a 10 day intensive study followed by practice. Once completed a particular level, students are required to sit an examination before entering into the next stage of their learning.
