Pure Flow yoga with Aliona Salaru
- Tuesday 19:30 to 20:30 | £12/class drop-in or £70 for 8 classes pass
The class is Vinyasa yoga, which synchronises movement with breathing, with one posture moving into another, becoming like a dance. Vinyasa is literally translated from Sanskrit as meaning "connection" and we can interpret this as being a connection between movement and breath.
It is an open level class, suitable for everyone, even complete beginners. Through a dynamic sequence of Pranayama breathing techniques, warm ups, standing poses, back bends and twists, you will work towards massaging the internal organs, creating space and freedom in the spine and releasing compression, while building strength and stability. The class includes postures to soothe your body and mind, to prepare for a wholesome sleep.
She believes that daily yoga practise keeps the rheumatic arthritis that she suffers from under control.
Aliona is an experienced and passionate yoga teacher. Her teaching style is well balanced, combining the flowing and dynamic style of Vinyasa with the alignment and precision of Iyengar yoga. She believes in a warm and personal approach to teaching, where everyone is assisted in their practise.
"Wisdom tells me I am nothing Love tells me I am everything And between the two my life flows."
