Yoga

There are a number of styles of yoga taught at the Kailash Centre, here is a brief description of them...

Pregnancy Yoga with Alexa Jarzebowska

  • Wednesdays 6.30-8.00pm

Yoga is the ideal form of exercise for pregnant women, not only before, but also during and after the birthing process. Yoga has long been recognised, by doctors and midwives alike, to be one of the most effective means of easing birth. It uses a combination of yoga breathing and both voluntary and involuntary muscular-abdominal movements. Antenatal yoga, using stretches, breathing and meditation techniques, is designed to help women enjoy the experience of childbirth without fear, undue strain or resistance, easing the passage of the new baby from the womb to the world for the first time.
